What a wonderfully festive (and fabulously chaotic!) weekend we had at our Club Xmas Party with some of our junior & adult members. We had a bit of everything – a beautiful marquee decorated by the juniors; a pod of 30 dolphins showing off with tail slaps; kids absolutely smashing the adults in ‘surfing the ama’ attempts; a huli practice; choices of paddling craft including an OC2, OC6’s and a St Ayles Skiff, and even a cruise ship casually hanging out at the Eden port like it wanted to join the Club.
We enjoyed beach cricket, frisbee, jelly cups, boardgames, hobby horses, a picnic lunch in the rain and an evening firepit to warm us up and dry us out.
The weather clearly couldn’t make up its mind, alternating between sun, rain and strong wind gusts!
