Firstly and very importantly a huge thank you to Eurobodalla Outrigger Canoe club for hosting a fantastic regatta. We all had so much fun.
Now to our amazing club……what great results we have achieved today. To start the day Ellie and Scott in their first ever OC2 race got a gold medal in their category. Congratulations guys.
Next up was Danielle and Colin collecting silver medal in the OC2 as well. Super effort.
Next up the OC6’s came out to play….our juniors paddled 5kms and got a gold medal for their super race. These guys are the future of our sport. You did us proud again.
Our next crew was the mixed novice crew and yes gold in our category and took out line honours. Simply fantastic.
This was followed by our mixed short course crew who have taken home a silver medal. Huge effort….well done.
Also to finally top it all off Megan paddled for Newcastle and collected yet another gold for her efforts. Congratulations Megan.
The icing on the cake came at the end of the regatta when we discovered that our masters men and women both won a bronze medal at the Sprint titles in Canberra a couple of weeks ago.
To say we are a proud club is an understatement. Bring on the Five Islands regatta.
