Our Club was thrilled to be awarded a $1,200 Junior Development grant and would like to sincerely thank AOCRA for its generous support. This money will help to strengthen our junior coaching capacity and Club sustainability to improve pathways for our junior paddlers to learn, develop, and compete.
Our strategic plan is for our 2 experienced members working with our juniors to attend a Level One coaching course and then provide a ‘Come and Try’ development clinic for juniors to attract new participants. In addition, some of our juniors are also very excited to be attending the Gubbi Gubbi International junior regatta. These strategic goals align with and strengthen our Club’s ‘Youth Development Framework’ and ‘Gubbi Gubbi Junior Development Plan’.
