What a great day was had by all the paddlers that attended the Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club Sprint race regatta in Canberra.
The conditions were very tough with high winds and rough waters. The shear guts, determination and camaraderie displayed was simply fantastic. Whilst we came home without any bling for the seniors our juniors did us proud – Well done. We all learnt a huge amount from the day events.
A huge thank you must go to Lokahi for all your hard work in organising the regatta. The conditions certainly provided you with a challenge but it was always met a with smile. A particularly big thank you must be given to the wranglers who stood in the water all day helping us get in and out of the boats safely. You guys were fantastic.
